Dreaming of winning BIG and LOTO

I’ve started buying lottery in Japan. “Started” means I made up my mind to buy the weekly lottery called BIG or LOTO everytime. A book about good-luck which I’ve read recently inspired me to do that. An author of the book won the lottery and got 600 million yen (6M US dollars) in his past time and he is advising readers how he got such luck in the book. It is very simple way. He buys lottery for 3,000 yen few times everymonth and pray for himself storing the lottery ticket at east side of his house with it enclosed in a blue color envelop which manner is based on Kyu-sei (Ninestar traditional astrological signs in Onmyodo). Actually I had been very negative about lottery because you know a story.. the probability of winning the lottery is almost none as less as people get die of meteorite crash on the street. Knowing this fact, I had been thinking like “who the hell buys lottery? Are such people insane?”. But now I dare to be crazy because I learned there’s one natural condition to win lottery here..”You never win lottery unless you become crazy to buy the …

Yakitori “Toritaka” at Futakotamagawa

My first time to visit this Yakitori restaurant where is located 5 min walk form Futakotamagawa Sta. of Tokyu Denentoshi line. The name is Toritaka(酉たか), which is well known and high evalueted by Tokyo people for its great Yakitori tastes. I have tried a dinner course this time. I booked 2 seats just 1hour befo re my visit and found available. I guess weekday is not as busy as weekend. They prepare 3 types of dinner course and a la carte menu and courses varies by the number of yakitori skewer like 1,980 yen for 7 skewers, 2,780 yen for 10skewers  and 3,380 yen for 12 skewers. a A variety of Yakitori and vegitable menu is available. Chicken noodle, soup, Oyako-don which is a dish consists of raice and half-baked egg are much attractive to me but couldn’t try all this time.. Very strange visual to you, isn’t it? More good yakitori resutaurant service this. Most of Japanese people love chicken lever. So do I. If you don’t like the taste of lever, you can start with this, a heart of chicken. Very less smell of blood if …

Rest or work or exercise?

A question everyday comes up on my mind. Should I rest or work or exercise today? Meaning, I’m wondering how to spend my free time to  improve quality of my life. Personally I prefer taking rest to do something consuming my energy while I know that taking too long rest ends up to a lack of exercise that worsens my physical/mental condition and deteriorates efficiency of my work and personal project that could make some profit or my skill-enhancement. At the end, I’ll fail in keeping myself in shape. This predictable bad end always worries me when I choose “taking a rest” out of the above three options. Then, I move my ass to take the same action as always: I start killing my resting time by doing more exercise and improving my physical strength and stamina. I have been repeating the same trial in recent years and come back to the initial position eventually and rethink “Rest or work or exercise?”. The loop always goes on in my life. Sounds very lazy but this is human being, right? I won’t rush and blame myself. I will just struggle anytime to make tomorrow a better day believing it will surely be.

Do you know “Suddenly! Steak”?

I want you to introduce you  about “Suddenly! Steak (Ikinari Steak in Japanese)” when you comes to Japan. “Ikinari” means “suddenly”, “all of a sudden” or “without preparation”. It looks they are trying to express that beef-lovers can eat beef steak anytime they want  right after they step in the steak house. The stake house chain is getting popular now and newly opened in New York city as well.  You can eat huge and good quality beef with cheaper price here and order your stake per gram. Example, regular beef stake costs 6 yen (converted to 0.6 USD) per gram. Also there is a variant  part of beef like rib, sirloin and fillet etc. All meats are very tender and super delicious and you must be satisfied with its volume more than anything! As far as I know, the beef stakes here are the cheapest and most delicious house in the present Japan. The stake houses are located everywhere in Japan and especially Tokyo such as Asakusa, Akihabara, Shibuya, Ebisu , Shinjyuku, Ikebukuro  and also my home town Sangenjyaya. (See this resutaurant location list.) An interst thing is that this chain restaurant issue “Niku” milage card. Niku …
